Learning and Development Interview Questions and answers for Mathematics-2.

1.What are all the rational numbers between √2 and √3?

Answer: All rational number between √2 and √3  are 1.5, 1.6.

Explanation:

When dividing a rational number it results a number in either repeating decimals or terminating decimals. But

  • √2 is an irrational number and it gives non-recurring and non-terminating decimals.
  • Similarly, √3 is also an irrational number and it gives non-recurring and non-terminating decimals.

√2 = 1.414 (rounded to 3 decimal places)   and

√3 = 1.732 (rounded to 3 decimal places).

This shows that there are multiple rational numbers between √2 and √3, for example, 1.5, 1.6

Therefore, all rational number between √2 and √3 are 1.5, 1.6.

2.What is a tangent?

Answer:

A straight line that touches to the circle at any one point is called a Tangent and It is perpendicular to the radius line.

3.What is the difference between congruence and similarity?

Answer:

If two figures have the same shape and size then those two figures are congruent to each other.

If two figures have the same shape but not the same size then those two figures are similar to each other.

Learning and Development Interview Questions and answers for Mathematics-1.

1). What is Mean, Mode and Median? Solution Answer: The mean is the average of a  collection of numbers or terms in a sequence. To calculate the mean use a formula is sum of total terms divided  by number of terms. The mode  is the most f requent number or term in a sequence. It means the number that occurred  highest number of times  in a sequence. To find the mode arrange the numbers in ascending or descending order and verify which number repeated most number of times in a sorted sequence. The median is the middle number/term where the sequence is arranged in ascending or descending order. If the sorted sequence have odd number of terms then  divide by 2 and round up to get the position of the median number.  If the  sorted sequence  have  even  number of terms then  divide by 2  to get the position of the median number.  2 ).
